Brian Jack Deese, a 42-year-old man from Plano, Texas, was last seen on August 29, 1996, while visiting family in Lake Tahoe, California. On the day of his disappearance, Deese rented a boat at 1:15 p.m. to spend time on the lake. However, by 7:56 p.m., the boat was discovered abandoned in about 1,000 feet of water with no sign of Deese. Despite extensive searches by the U.S. Coast Guard and local authorities, no evidence of his whereabouts was found.
