Patricia “Patti” Adkins, 29, disappeared on June 29, 2001, after leaving her job at the Honda automotive plant in Marysville, Ohio. That evening, she was scheduled to begin her vacation and had plans to go away with a co-worker, who she had been secretly dating for about a year. Patti told her sister that her boyfriend had promised to take her on a week-long trip, and she was looking forward to it. She had even made arrangements for someone to care for her daughter during her absence.
