Jennifer Wilson, a 29-year-old woman from Derby, Kansas, disappeared on September 1, 2002, following a heated argument with her live-in girlfriend. Wilson, who worked as an exotic dancer, had gotten into a confrontation with her roommate at the club where she worked. The argument continued at their home, after which the roommate claimed she left the house to cool off. When she returned, Wilson was gone.
Despite her sudden disappearance, all of Wilson's belongings were left behind, including her greenish-blue Ford Probe and her beloved German Shepherd, Sadie, whom she took everywhere. This abandonment of her dog raised significant concern, as it was highly unusual for her to leave without the animal. Wilson’s roommate gave inconsistent stories to others about her disappearance, but has never been officially named as a suspect.
Wilson’s family did not immediately report her missing, as it was not unusual for her to be out of touch for extended periods. It wasn't until 2004, when her mother learned that the roommate was using Wilson's Social Security number, that she reported Jennifer missing. Despite extensive investigations, including theories that Jennifer may have been a victim of homicide, no trace of her has ever been found.
