In the fall of 2003, a young woman named Joyvaline Martinez, known to her friends and family as 'Joy,' vanished from her hometown of East Hartford, Connecticut. At 23 years old, the former high school track star was at a transitional phase in her life and was unemployed at the time of her disappearance. The last confirmed sighting of Joyvaline was on October 10, 2003.
