Summary based on the NamUs case record (MP110454) and 5 other sources
In the early days of October 2023, a 19-year-old woman named Hollynn Snapp disappeared from Kingsport, Tennessee, leaving her loved ones in a state of unending worry. The last day her family heard from her was October 5, 2023. On that day, Hollynn sent a text message to her adoptive mother, Heather Snapp, revealing she was at a residence on Bell Ridge Drive with a 52-year-old man. In a detail that her mother found unsettling, Hollynn mentioned that the man did not want her to share his name. It was the last communication anyone would have with the young woman, who stood just about four feet nine inches tall with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Hollynn's family describes her as a vulnerable young woman who, despite her age, had the emotional maturity and cognitive level of a child. Her former foster mother, Leslie Hunt, explained that Hollynn's IQ was comparable to that of a 10 or 11-year-old, making her exceptionally trusting and unaware of potential ill intentions from others. This trusting nature is what her family fears was exploited. Concerns for her safety escalated dramatically when witnesses came forward stating that Hollynn was last seen at the home on Bell Ridge Drive, having been badly beaten and appearing incoherent. According to reports, no one at the home intervened or sought help for her. It was unusual for Hollynn not to be in daily contact with her mother, and after more than a week of silence, her worried family filed a missing person report with the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office on October 22, 2023.

Following the report, an Endangered Young Adult Alert was issued for Hollynn. The investigation into her disappearance has been active, with the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office conducting numerous interviews and executing search warrants on properties and phones. The man she was last seen with has been in and out of jail on unrelated matters since her disappearance but has not been charged in connection with her case. Hollynn's family, desperate for answers, has hired a private investigator to bridge the gap between them and law enforcement and to encourage reluctant witnesses to come forward. Two years have passed, and Hollynn, who would now be 21, remains missing. Her family continues to hold onto hope, praying for the day she will come home while navigating the profound pain of not knowing what happened to her. The case remains an ongoing investigation, a painful and unresolved chapter for all who know and love Hollynn Snapp.
