Latoya Grissom, a 25-year-old woman, was last seen on September 4, 2007, in Texarkana, Texas. She lived with her grandmother and two children at the Sunset Apartments on Allen Lane. On the day of her disappearance, she left her apartment around 3:30 p.m. and was observed getting into a small dark-colored car. Latoya did not inform her grandmother where she was headed but mentioned she would return shortly. However, she never came back, and her family reported her missing a few days later.
For years, no trace of Latoya was found, leaving her family in anguish. In 2010, a breakthrough occurred when her personal belongings, including her purse and cellphone, were discovered near a creek in Texarkana. This discovery deepened the suspicion of foul play in her case. Investigators suspect her ex-boyfriend may have been involved, but no solid evidence has emerged to lead to an arrest. Despite the time that has passed, the case remains open, with law enforcement continuing to pursue new leads to provide closure for Latoya’s family.
