Larkie Toups

Missing

Larkie Toups, a 46-year-old tugboat crewman from Galliano, Louisiana, was last seen on January 1, 2008, in Bogalusa. Earlier that evening, Toups was found intoxicated and wandering outside by law enforcement. Instead of arresting him, officers helped him check into the Budget Inn on Austin Street. Around two hours later, a hotel employee found his room door open, with his identification and room key left inside, but Toups was missing. He has not been heard from since.
