Luis Vargas Montes, age 34, was last seen on August 15, 2008, in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He had left work around 5 p.m. and later cashed a check at a Fidelity Bank on Capital Boulevard. That evening, Montes was expected to pick up his two-year-old son from the babysitter, but he never arrived. His family and employer became concerned when they were unable to reach him by phone.
