In the quiet, early morning hours of a day in late December 2008, 16-year-old Shemika Cosey vanished from her aunt's home in Berkeley, Missouri. The night before, she had been enjoying a sleepover with her cousin, watching movies until about 1:30 a.m. When her cousin went to bed, Shemika was still on the couch.
