In the late spring of 2009, the life of Joseph Czarnecki, a 57-year-old man from Shelton, Connecticut, took an unsettling turn, leaving his family with years of unanswered questions. His wife last saw him on June 6, 2009. A few days later, on June 10, his family reported speaking with him, marking the last known communication anyone had with Joseph.
