Betty Marie Roberts, a 29-year-old woman from Charlotte, North Carolina, was last seen on November 6, 1959, in Baltimore, Maryland. She had met a man who identified himself as Charles Wegman, claiming to be a traveling photographer. The two had crossed paths earlier that year when Betty and her sister responded to a job advertisement for photographer assistants.
