Doris Catherine Scandalis, a 30-year-old woman from Carmichael, California, disappeared on November 7, 1960. That evening, she left her home, intending to go shopping at a local mall and then watch a movie. She was driving a 1959 Mercury with California plates and was dressed in a purple sweater, skirt, and blue hooded coat. Doris was never seen or heard from again after leaving her residence.
