Myron Alberding, a 29-year-old from Red Creek, New York, went missing on July 10, 1973, during a fishing trip on Seventh Lake in Inlet, New York. Alberding was operating his Starcraft fishing boat when it was struck by another vessel driven by David Getman. The collision caused Alberding to be ejected into the water, which was approximately 75 to 90 feet deep at that spot. Despite immediate efforts by Getman and other passengers, they were unable to locate him.
