Geneva Verneal Adams, a 53-year-old mother of ten from Festus, Missouri, vanished on July 24, 1976. A devoted member of her Pentecostal church, she was described by her son as being in great spirits on the evening she disappeared, looking forward to a night out. Her daughter drove her to the Artesian Lounge, a bar in the nearby town of Herculaneum, Missouri, for a night of dancing.
