Maxwell "Maxie" Graham, aged 28, was last seen on August 8, 1978, at his home in Pinewood, South Carolina. According to investigators, Graham left his residence with a man known only as "Scott," possibly traveling in a two-tone pickup truck. He was reported missing on August 24, 1978, approximately three weeks after his disappearance.
