Khymbrly Marcella Scruggs, a 19-year-old student at California State University, Sacramento, was last seen on January 12, 1980. She lived with a roommate in an apartment near Fair Oaks Boulevard and Howe Avenue in Sacramento, California. On the evening of her disappearance, Khymbrly spoke to a friend from her hometown of Pismo Beach at around 6:30 p.m. She had no special plans that night and was scheduled to work the next day.
