In the autumn of 2023, concern grew for a 15-year-old girl from Gastonia, North Carolina, named Ruth Sarahi Torres-Hernandez. She was last seen on October 27, 2023. At the time she went missing, Ruth was described as being 5'2' tall and weighing between 120 and 125 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
