Eubah Thornton, a 70-year-old woman from Winter Haven, Florida, disappeared on February 14, 1984. She was last seen driving her tan 1981 Pontiac LeMans after dropping off her husband at work. When she failed to return to pick him up later that afternoon, her husband contacted the authorities. The next day, her car was found abandoned, stuck in the mud in a remote pasture near the Polk-Osceola county line, about 25 miles from her home.
Eubah was reportedly suffering from memory loss and disorientation at the time, possibly due to undiagnosed Alzheimer's disease, and she had left behind important medications. Authorities believe she may have become disoriented while driving and wandered into a nearby wilderness area after abandoning her vehicle.
In March of that year, a hunter discovered her purse, containing her identification, along with an umbrella, on an island in a swampy region near Lake Hatchineha, about two miles from where her car was found. Further searches revealed her eyeglasses, but no other trace of Eubah was ever found. Despite extensive search efforts involving helicopters, dogs, and search teams, Eubah remains missing, and her case is still classified as unsolved.Last Seen: Feb 19, 1984
