Lloyd Raymond Gilsdorf Jr., a 31-year-old man, disappeared on July 29, 1984, from Pensacola, Florida. Gilsdorf had informed his parents that he received a phone call from a man in Houston, Texas, offering him a job on an offshore oil rig. He was excited for the opportunity as he had recently gone through a divorce and was attempting to rebuild his life.
