Thomas Patrick Mooney, age 82, went missing on May 13, 1985, from Haines City, Florida. He had taken his lawnmower to a repair shop that day and was seen by a neighbor placing the mower into the trunk of his gray 1978 Ford coupe around 4:00 p.m. Mooney, a retired police officer who lived alone with his dog in North Lake Lowrey Estates, was known to occasionally become disoriented.
