Ara Denise Johnson, a five-year-old girl, disappeared from her family's mobile home in Big Sandy, Texas, on April 2, 1986. The child was last seen sleeping in her bedroom by her father, who checked on her between 1:00 and 2:30 a.m. When the family woke up between 6:30 and 6:45 a.m., Ara was gone, along with the orange bedspread under which she had been sleeping.
