Jason Jack Russo, aged 13, went missing on August 4, 1988, while on a boating trip in the Big Sur area of Northern California. Jason was accompanied by his father, Vito Russo, and two of Vito’s employees, Stacy Sabal and Stephen LaSpino. The group set off aboard a commercial fishing vessel named *The Mission Bell*. However, they failed to return, and the boat was never found.
The United States Coast Guard conducted an extensive search after the group was reported missing on August 7, 1988. Despite their efforts, no trace of the boat or any of its occupants has been discovered. Jason’s case, along with those of the other passengers, remains unsolved to this day. Investigators continue to seek information regarding the disappearance of the boat and its crew.
