Michelle Lee Richardson, a 16-year-old from Palestine, Texas, was last seen on May 1, 1989. She had told her mother she was going for a brief walk along Highway 322, near her home. Her younger brother typically accompanied her on these walks, but on this occasion, he stayed behind. Shortly after, he attempted to catch up with her but was unable to find her. When she did not return home, her family immediately searched the area, but Michelle had vanished.
