She had been playing outside her family's residence on North 4th Street with a 6-year-old friend when a man driving a new-looking gray or silver two-door Dodge or Plymouth sedan approached them. The driver, described as a Caucasian male between the ages of 20 and 22, with slicked-back brown hair, enticed Jenna into his vehicle by offering to buy her a gift.
Jenna's friend refused to get into the car and ran away. The vehicle was last seen traveling west on Garrison Avenue.
Authorities believe Jenna was abducted, and despite multiple investigations, her case remains unsolved. A possible connection was explored between Jenna's abduction and a similar attempt to lure another child into a vehicle just days earlier, but no definitive link was established. Over the years, age-progressed images of Jenna have been created in hopes of aiding the search. Foul play is suspected, but her abductor has never been identified, and her case continues to remain open.
