Mark Seelman, a 16-year-old from Rome, New York, was last seen in the early hours of June 7, 1990. He had been at DJ's Bar on Martin Street with his 18-year-old coworker, Douglas Goodwin. Witnesses reported that the two left the bar together around 12:05 a.m., and it was speculated they may have been en route to Utica. However, neither Seelman nor Goodwin were ever seen again.
