In the early hours of February 18, 1992, sixteen-year-old Donna Jean Mezo vanished from the streets of Belleville, Illinois. Originally a resident of Crocker, Missouri, Donna had been in Belleville for a few weeks visiting her uncle and other family members. The night she disappeared, she was preparing to return to Missouri with her brother the next day and wanted to see her 20-year-old boyfriend, Jeffrie T. Mezo, one last time.
