She left her home on Garrard Road, a rural area near Lake Buffum, for her daily walk around 1:45 p.m. but never returned. Despite extensive searches of the surrounding area, no trace of her has been found. Jennie was known to walk through her neighborhood regularly, though she had become disoriented on several occasions before due to her dementia.
She had suffered multiple strokes prior to her disappearance, which further impacted her memory.
Jennie was last seen wearing a blue shirt with a pink floral print, matching shorts, pink socks, and tan sneakers. She was approximately 5 feet tall, weighed around 145 pounds, and had short, wavy gray hair. Her daughter speculated that Jennie may have been struck by a motorist who panicked and concealed the accident, though no evidence has supported this theory. At the time, Jennie lived with her grandson, who had previously been able to find her when she got lost during walks.
