Erik Sol Patchin, a 20-year-old student from Tallahassee, Florida, was last seen on May 24, 1994, after leaving a local bar with a female friend. He had been attending a poetry reading that evening. After dropping off his friend at her residence, Erik continued driving alone. He was last seen around 2:00 a.m., and a few hours later, his 1972 silver Volkswagen Beetle was found abandoned at a Jr. Food Store parking lot on US 27 South.
