Misty Dawn Ortega, a 15-year-old girl, disappeared on August 8, 1995, from Mixon, Texas, along with her 13-year-old sister, Crystal Ortega. The two girls left their family’s home in Troup, Texas, and have not been seen or heard from since. Initially, authorities believed that the sisters might have left voluntarily, but as the years passed without any contact or trace, that theory was reconsidered.
