Stephen Shawn Austin, a 17-year-old from El Paso, Texas, went missing on August 19, 1997. He was last seen either leaving his residence early in the morning to go to school or at his home around 11:00 p.m. that night. Stephen was described as a 6'1" African-American male with black hair, brown eyes, and scars on both sides of his neck and on his nose. He also had a pierced right ear and was known to wear a white t-shirt, dark blue or brown pants, white tennis shoes, and a round gold earring.
