Stephen Shawn Austin, a 17-year-old from El Paso, Texas, was last seen on August 19, 1997. Details surrounding his disappearance remain unclear, with conflicting reports about whether he was last observed leaving for school in the morning or at his home late that night. At the time of his disappearance, Stephen resided with his parents on Sims Street and was on juvenile probation, having met his probation officer just a day before vanishing.
