Tanya Lynn Hummenyj, a 25-year-old woman, was last seen on December 14, 1997, in Polk County, Florida. She had worked as an exotic dancer at Roxie's in Lake County and was last seen around 3:00 a.m. at a Waffle House near Interstate 4 and U.S. Highway 27 in Davenport. After leaving the restaurant, she drove off alone in her white Dodge Dynasty but never made it home.
Later that morning, her boyfriend found her vehicle abandoned along County Road 54 in Loughman, Florida, just west of the I-4 overpass. Despite an extensive investigation, there was no sign of Tanya at the scene. She has not been seen or heard from since, and foul play is suspected in her disappearance. Tanya had two children at the time of her disappearance, and authorities have continued to search for answers in the decades since she went missing, but her case remains unsolved.
