Veronica Emily Martinez, age 14, was last seen on March 29, 2001, leaving her home in Tracy, California, to attend classes at Tracy High School. She is believed to have been abducted by her 26-year-old boyfriend, Manuel Antonio Quiroz Jr. Veronica's family had forbidden her from seeing Quiroz, but she disappeared that morning, and the two were last sighted together in Reno and Sparks, Nevada, in July 2003. There is speculation that they may be in Mexico, possibly posing as siblings.
