Elyssa Marie Vasquez, a 12-year-old girl from Doraville, Georgia, disappeared on January 28, 2003. It was her first day at a new school in Clarkston, Georgia, and she had taken the public MARTA bus to attend. Elyssa called her mother during lunch that day, sounding happy and adjusting well to her new school. However, after school, while she was seen boarding the bus to head home, she never arrived at her designated stop, where her father and brother were waiting for her.
