Alayssa Ann Wines, a 20-year-old woman, was last seen in mid-November 2004 in the Rome/Utica, New York area. Standing 5'0" and weighing between 115 to 130 pounds, Alayssa had brown hair and hazel eyes and may have used the name "Maria." Her disappearance was not reported until September 2005, almost ten months later, by an acquaintance, making it challenging for investigators to gather immediate information about her case.
