Wilson Wayne Walstrom, age 47, was last seen on October 27, 2007, in Grants Pass, Oregon. He left home with his rifle and his dog, Brutus, a Labrador/Mastiff mix, presumably to go target shooting, a hobby he often enjoyed in the area. His red 1998 Isuzu Rodeo SUV was later found abandoned near Briggs Valley Road, approximately three miles from the site where he was last seen. The vehicle’s keys were left on top of the front tire, and there was no sign of either Walstrom or his dog.

In the quiet community of Grants Pass, Oregon, a family was forever changed when Wilson Wayne Walstrom, a 47-year-old man, vanished without a trace. On October 27, 2007, Wilson was last seen in the 400 block of SW Marion Lane. At the time of his disappearance, he was described as a white male, standing at approximately 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighing between 125 and 145 pounds. He had brown hair, which he sometimes wore in a ponytail with a receding hairline, brown eyes, and wore glasses with silver frames. When he was last seen, he was wearing a gray and red sweatshirt and jeans. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unclear, leaving his loved ones with unanswered questions and a void that has spanned over a decade. Wilson's vehicle, a red 1998 Isuzu Rodeo with Oregon license plate 027CPP, was located, but this discovery unfortunately did not lead to any significant breakthroughs in the case. The Grants Pass Police Department opened an investigation, assigning it case number 2007-11600. Despite their efforts, information about what happened to Wilson Walstrom after he was last seen has been scarce. Public appeals for information have been made over the years, with law enforcement encouraging anyone with even the smallest detail to come forward. The case has been entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) as MP7777, a national database for missing persons cases, in the hope of generating new leads. The passage of time has not diminished the hope of finding answers. Wilson's case remains an active missing person investigation, a poignant reminder of a life interrupted and a family left in limbo. The lack of resolution has meant years of uncertainty and grief for those who knew and loved him. The overview of this case is one of a sudden and unexplained disappearance that has left a lasting impact on his community. The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety continues to ask for the public's help, holding onto the possibility that someone, somewhere, has the information that could finally bring closure to the enduring mystery of what happened to Wilson Wayne Walstrom.
