Daisja Marie Weaver, a nine-month-old infant, went missing on June 10, 2009, from Dallas, Texas, under highly suspicious circumstances. Initially, her mother, Tamaira Creagh, claimed that a man had broken into their apartment and attempted to assault her before abducting Daisja. However, inconsistencies in her and the father's stories led authorities to doubt this version of events.
Subsequent investigations revealed a much darker reality.
Daisja's father, Alandus Weaver, later admitted that Daisja had died while in his care. According to court documents, the baby had been left unattended, and when Creagh returned, she found her cold and unresponsive. Alandus reportedly disposed of Daisja’s body by throwing it into Lake Lewisville, weighted down with a sandbag. Despite extensive searches, Daisja's body has never been recovered.
Alandus Weaver was charged with felony murder and sentenced to life in prison. Creagh, who initially supported the kidnapping story, was also arrested for tampering with evidence but was not charged with her daughter's murder.
