Toni Lee Sharpless, a 29-year-old nurse and mother, disappeared in the early hours of August 23, 2009, after attending a party in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania. Toni had been out with a friend, Crystal Johns, and after an argument around 3 a.m., she abruptly left the party driving her black Pontiac Grand Prix. Her friend later said Toni had been drinking and appeared upset when she left. Despite efforts to follow her, Crystal lost contact with Toni after she drove off into the night.
