George Barksdale, a 4-year-old boy from Baltimore, Maryland, was last seen on April 21, 1969. On the day of his disappearance, George was playing outside the United Church House of Prayer for All People in West Baltimore. He was reported missing between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. His family, who lived nearby, nicknamed him "Sputnik," and he was known to talk well for his age, even knowing his address and the names of his family members.
