Dixie May Forrester, 31, disappeared on June 11, 1971, in Springfield, Missouri. On the evening of her disappearance, she dropped off her six-year-old daughter at a cousin's home for babysitting before planning to meet her ex-husband. However, she was never heard from again. Later that night, her 1955 Chevrolet was found abandoned near the intersection of Atlantic Street and Missouri Avenue, close to her ex-husband's residence.
