Later that evening, Brian called some friends, mentioning that he was at the ABC Lounge on Hillsborough Avenue, but no one could verify having seen him there. On March 6, 1981, his clothing, shoes, and identification were found discarded in a secluded wooded area off Highway 301. Additionally, a pillow with possible bloodstains was located nearby, raising concerns about foul play. Despite this discovery, there have been no solid leads in the investigation, and Brian remains missing.
