David Allen Dunaway, 29, was last seen on May 10, 1981, in Houston, Texas. At the time of his disappearance, Dunaway was working as a drywall contractor. According to reports, he was paranoid and carrying a sawed-off shotgun wrapped in a paper bag when he was last seen. David had a history of drug use, which may have contributed to his behavior. His family found it highly uncharacteristic for him to vanish without notifying them, especially considering he had a wife and two young sons.
