John Daugherty, a 24-year-old man from Rogue River, Oregon, went missing on April 15, 1988. His roommate reported him missing two weeks after last seeing him, stating that Daugherty had gone hiking or camping alone in the Shasta Costa Creek area, located between Curry and Josephine counties. The area was thoroughly searched by authorities, but no immediate signs of Daugherty were discovered.
