Dominick Pendino, 36, went missing on March 3, 1999, from Newburgh, New York. That morning, he was last seen by his wife standing in the driveway of their home at around 5:50 a.m., preparing to head to work at the Newburgh Auto Auction. However, he never made it to his destination. By 7:00 a.m., his car was still parked at home, and a trail of blood was found leading away from the vehicle, suggesting foul play.
