Kimberly Palmer, a 19-year-old mother from Carrollton, Texas, disappeared under mysterious circumstances on October 30, 2000. The night before, she had gone out with her former boyfriend, Maurice Shawtate Teele, and her three-year-old son. Teele stated that he dropped Palmer and her son off at an apartment complex near her home that evening, but she was never heard from again.
