Vernold R. Gerler, a 58-year-old man from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, was last seen on July 15, 2004. He was last spotted wearing a dark Hawaiian shirt and dark khaki pants. Gerler, who was known to have a volatile temper, disappeared without a trace, and very few details have surfaced about his case. There is no known evidence indicating foul play, but authorities have warned that caution should be taken when approaching him due to his history of aggressive behavior.
