Summary based on the NamUs case record (MP115330) and 5 other sources
Jacob Michael Fox, a 24-year-old from Beattyville, Kentucky, was last seen on Saturday, July 1, 2023. He was seen in front of the Marigold Apartments in Beattyville after leaving his mother's home. Since that day, there has been no contact with him, and his family has not received any information regarding his whereabouts. The family's concern grew significantly when Jacob, who was very close to his grandmother, did not show up after she passed away shortly after his disappearance.

At the time he went missing, Jacob was described as a white male, standing approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds. He has blond, shoulder-length hair and blue eyes. He has several distinct tattoos, including two black birds on his chest, a letter 'A' inside a circle on his knee, a cross on his right thigh, a 3D fox on his right bicep, and a spider web on his left elbow. He also has gauged ear piercings. When he was last seen, he was wearing an unknown colored t-shirt, black jeans, and black and white tennis shoes. He may have been carrying a backpack and was known to wear a white seashell necklace.

The Beattyville Police Department is investigating Jacob's disappearance, but the case has been challenging for the small department, which consists of only five patrol officers and no detectives. They have conducted searches of rivers and ponds based on the leads they had, but there are currently no active leads in the case. The family has expressed frustration with the pace of the investigation and has pleaded for the public to come forward with any information that could help find him. A reward is being offered for information that leads to his safe return. The case serves as a painful reminder of the many individuals who remain missing, as law enforcement and families continue to search for answers.
