Yalitza Garcia was last seen on July 2, 2009, in Deerfield Beach, Florida. At the time of her disappearance, she was 24 years old and working at a Metro PCS store. On July 5, when she failed to show up for work, her concerned coworkers visited her apartment on Mermaid Drive. There, they encountered her live-in boyfriend, Jason Allen, who claimed she was not home.
