Lufkins was last seen at the American Legion bar in Sisseton, South Dakota between 9:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. on April 7, 2010. Witnesses reported he got into a fight there with as many as three other men.
He was unconscious and appeared to be seriously injured when he was carried out of the bar. He disappeared afterwards and has never been heard from again. Foul play is suspected in his case, which remains unsolved.
