Jacob Mata, the man who was with Show Low resident Kaylene Marie Gallegos when she disappeared four months ago on White Mountain Apache forest lands, agreed to a jailhouse interview with The Independent to clear up what he said are some inaccuracies in accounts of what happened.
Mata, 20, said he is a resident of Phoenix, not Show Low, adding that he and 22-year-old Gallegos were not boyfriend and girlfriend as reported in The Independent.
