In the late summer of 2011, a young man named Montel Veshawn Aker, known to some as 'Mookie,' vanished without a trace, leaving his family and friends in a state of prolonged uncertainty. On August 10, the 19-year-old left his residence in Urbana, Illinois, with plans for the day that seemed ordinary.
